Video: Research Impact in Vietnam

A new video from CGIAR showcases how research is having impact on people’s lives. The video highlights how CGIAR Research Program on Agriculture for Nutrition and Health (A4NH) research conducted by Hung Nguyen is helping informal market vendors in Vietnam improve the safety of the food they sell. Informal markets are a critical part of Vietnam’s food systems, and consumers want to know their vegetables, meats, and other foods are safe to eat. Nguyen, who is the regional representative for East and Southeast Asia and senior scientist, Ecohealth and Food Safety, with the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), conducts food safety research as part of A4NH’s country team in Vietnam.

CGIAR released the video as part of their recognition of this week’s World Food Prize celebration.
