About 120 artworks and photos on livestock from the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum and the Livestock-led Interventions towards Equitable Livelihoods and Improved Environment in the Northwest Highlands of Vietnam, otherwise known as the Li-chăn project, will be displayed in an exhibition to be launched virtually and physically in Mai Son District, Son La Province in the Northwest of Vietnam on 12 October 2021.
By September this year, the Lichan research team were ready to present to the communes of Chieng Chung and Chieng Luong of Son La Province the planned interventions and the five areas of focus of the program.
The ‘Livestock-led interventions towards equitable livelihoods and improved environment in the northwest highlands of Vietnam’ is one of four priority country programs under the Livestock CRP that will run for two and half years (2019-2021). The project is recently launched in Son La Province, in the northwest highland region of Vietnam.

A two-day workshop, 7–8 September 2017, on the topic ‘Improving food safety along the pork value chain—lessons learned and ways forward’, kicked off at the Hanoi Hotel on Thursday morning to find ways to make sure that pig production, processing and sale of pork is safer.
On 30 May 2017, the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and the Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) co-hosted a stakeholder workshop in Hanoi, Vietnam. At the workshop, participants discussed research findings from a scoping study on improving pig value chains in the region and the objectives of a new research project which will assess how smallholder farmers in northwest Vietnam can add value to pig production by using maize grains as feed.
