Để hưởng ứng Ngày An toàn Thực phẩm Thế giới lần thứ 4 (7 tháng 6 năm 2022), tọa đàm báo chí ‘Chuyển tải thông điệp an toàn thực phẩm (ATTP) tới công chúng thông qua tăng cường hợp tác giữa nghiên cứu và báo chí–trường hợp thực phẩm có nguồn gốc động vật’ được tổ chức tại Hà Nội vào cùng ngày với sự tham dự của khoảng 40 phóng viên và nhà nghiên cứu Việt Nam, từ các ngành khác nhau (y tế, thú y, nông nghiệp). Vào ngày 29 tháng 3 năm 2022, bài báo ‘Phân tích khả năng kháng kháng sinh của vi khuẩn Salmonella trên thịt lợn từ các cửa hàng bán lẻ và giết mổ ở Việt Nam bằng phương pháp giải trình tự gen’ đã được xuất bản trên tạp chí quốc tế Frontiers in Veterinary Science. Nghiên cứu đã phân tích 69 mẫu gen vi khuẩn Salmonella (NTS) thu thập từ các chuỗi bán lẻ thịt lợn và cơ sở giết mổ để đánh giá mức độ kháng kháng sinh. Nghiên cứu cũng tìm hiểu liệu các cửa hàng bán lẻ như siêu thị, chợ truyền thống, cửa hàng tiện ích hoặc các cửa hàng cao cấp, đóng vai trò như thế nào trong việc đảm bảo vệ sinh an toàn thực phẩm (ATTP) trên thịt lợn.
