Cambodia taskforce scales up activities in line with country’s new food safety law

A taskforce of food safety experts from across Cambodia and a research project team led by the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) recently met in Phnom Penh to explore ways to facilitate collaboration between the authorities and researchers in Cambodia for safer food in the country. The meeting was co-hosted by the National Animal Health and Production Research Institute (NAHPRI) and ILRI as part of an ILRI-led component of the Agroecology and Safe food System Transitions, or ASSET project. Nghiên cứu mới cho thấy khả năng kháng kháng sinh của vi khuẩn Salmonella trong các mẫu thịt lợn tại các cửa hàng bán lẻ và cơ sở giết mổ ở Việt Nam

Vào ngày 29 tháng 3 năm 2022, bài báo ‘Phân tích khả năng kháng kháng sinh của vi khuẩn Salmonella trên thịt lợn từ các cửa hàng bán lẻ và giết mổ ở Việt Nam bằng phương pháp giải trình tự gen’ đã được xuất bản trên tạp chí quốc tế Frontiers in Veterinary Science. Nghiên cứu đã phân tích 69 mẫu gen vi khuẩn Salmonella (NTS) thu thập từ các chuỗi bán lẻ thịt lợn và cơ sở giết mổ để đánh giá mức độ kháng kháng sinh. Nghiên cứu cũng tìm hiểu liệu các cửa hàng bán lẻ như siêu thị, chợ truyền thống, cửa hàng tiện ích hoặc các cửa hàng cao cấp, đóng vai trò như thế nào trong việc đảm bảo vệ sinh an toàn thực phẩm (ATTP) trên thịt lợn. Australia-funded safe pork project in Vietnam reviews 2020 achievements and sets goals for 2021

In late November 2021, the ‘Market-based approach to improving the safety of pork in Vietnam,’ or SafePORK project team and partners held an annual planning meeting in Ninh Binh Province, about 100 kilometres south of Hanoi. The two-day workshop, which was hosted by the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Vietnam, reviewed the accomplishments of the project in 2020 and set project goals for 2021 and beyond.
