The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) took part in the five-day ‘Krushi Odisha 2019’ agricultural fair that brought together over 15,000 participants and leaders from 120 organizations from across India to share promising and innovative methods, tools and technologies that can help stimulate agricultural and rural development in the country. Collaborators begin new One Health study of avian influenza viruses in Vietnam

In January, a team of human, animal, and environmental health investigators began an ambitious surveillance project to detect novel influenza viruses among poultry in Vietnam. The surveillance will involve collecting more than 5,000 field samples during a 12-month time period at live bird markets in Hanoi and three of Vietnam’s northern provinces.
